Pearls III is a 501(c)(3) District of Columbia based organization that has served as the fundraising arm of the Rho Mu Omega Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated since the Foundation was established in 2000. Founded at Howard University in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha is a nonprofit organization of more than 200,000 women in the United States, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Through 930 college campus chapters and graduate chapters, like Rho Mu Omega, Alpha Kappa Alpha members carry out a national programs.

DC Pearls III Foundation is dedicated and committed to the successful implementation of programs established to meet the needs of our communities. Together we can make a difference. The Pink Satin Pearls Season is Here!

The DC Pearls III Foundation, Inc., in conjunction with, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Rho Mu Omega Chapter, is pleased to begin the 2016/2017 Pink Satin Pearls Program season. 

The Pink Satin Pearls Program is a subset of the overarching Pearl Ball Debutante Cotillion Program that recognizes that it is never too early to expose your little girl to the principles of good manners, grace, and culture. Our program is designed to meet the needs of children today. Our fun-filled, educational, social and cultural activities help build little girls self-confidence and character that will last a life time. In addition, they will have the opportunity to raise funds in support of scholarships by participating in planned fundraising activities.

The Paint & Pearls Fundraiser!

On Saturday, June 25, 2016 the DC Pearls III, Foundation, Incorporated, the fundraising arm of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Rho Mu Omega Chapter held a Paint & Pearls Fundraising Party. 

This sold out event raised money for Rho Mu Omega's scholarships and programs. The event also brought attention to the benefits of art therapy while dealing with mental illnesses such as Alzheimer disease, an illness targeted through Alpha Kappa Alpha’s partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association.
